Expert help is now available for City Workers facing the psychological challenges of working from home. Tavistock Relationships’ new City Wellbeing Centre is currently offering a range of therapeutic interventions for those affected by Covid-19.

The last six months have been incredibly stressful for so many people. We now face a further six months of restrictions and uncertainty, and what is likely to be a hard winter.

Face-to-face therapy sessions will return eventually

For many people this will result in feelings of isolation, loneliness, anxiety, as well as stress within their intimate and family relationships. Looking after the mental health and wellbeing of workers is essential for the overall economic recovery and working from home may be exacerbating stress and anxiety for many.

Dean Russell, the Conservative MP for Watford, in The Times, cited research which “found that 60% of workers who report two mental health absences will leave their job before reporting a third,” and he warns that without “timely and effective intervention, some conditions could cause severe long-term damage.”

At our new City Wellbeing Centre, we are providing online therapeutic support for people who live or work in and around the City.

Services designed to help those experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties are currently being delivered by expertly trained psychotherapists from Tavistock Relationships – which has over 70 years’ experience supporting individuals and couple with mental health concerns and relationship difficulties.

We currently offer: individual counselling and psychotherapy; couple psychotherapy; group therapy; psychosexual therapy; help for divorced or separated couples; parenting, with dementia; and support for retiring couples,

As a non-profit making organisation, Tavistock Relationships provides its therapeutic services based on what individuals and couples can afford. Although our standard fee is £100, we offer a sliding scale based on income and endeavour to make services accessible to everyone.

Our services are available to those working or living in the City of London and surrounding areas (Tower Hamlets, Camden, Islington, Southwark, Hackney, the City of Westminster and Lambeth).
