The City of London Corporation is advising Square Mile workers and residents to top-up their COVID-19 jabs to boost immunity.

The COVID-19 spring booster is available to everyone aged 75 or over, those living in a care home, and children over five with a weakened immune system.

The first and second doses of the COVID-19 jab are still available for children aged five and over.

Bookings can be made via the NHS App, by calling 119, or at nhs.uk/CovidVaccination.

Those who are eligible and registered at the City’s GP surgery, The Neaman Practice, will receive a text message allowing them to book their booster directly.

Meanwhile, you can get your jabs in Hackney at Richmond Road Medical Centre, 136 Malvern Rd, London E8 3HN or The Lawson Practice, St Leonards, 85 Nuttall St, London N1 5HZ, among other venues in the borough.

Whereas in Islington, vaccinations are being offered at venues including Murrays Pharmacy, 96-98 Murray Grove, London N1 7QP.

The final appointments – including those for first and second doses – will be offered on 30 June.

Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Community and Children’s Services Committee, Ruby Sayed, said: “This spring it is important that eligible residents and workers get the jab to protect themselves from serious illness. Especially those people who have health conditions and who are at risk of hospitalisation.”

“I would also encourage anyone who has not yet had their first or second dose of the vaccine to get their jabs and join the nearly 43 million who have already had both doses.”
