Police search for answers over woman’s death in Barbican

A WOMAN died with “significant injuries” in the Barbican on Monday morning.

City of London Police officers were called to an area of the estate behind the City of London School for Girls at 5.38am on 27 November after a victim believed to be in her 50s was discovered by passers-by. 

She was pronounced dead at the scene and officers are now working to inform her family.

At this stage, the woman is not believed to be connected to the school.

Detective Chief Inspector Edelle Michaels of the City of London Police major crime team said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have information which can help, to contact police immediately.
