The seats at catwalks exist for the rich, famous, and those who work in the industry; few consumers are ever allowed to see the goings on of London Fashion Week.
But, for the first time ever, the festival is hosting a new type of event that will give everyday fashion lovers unparalleled access to catwalk shows, designer retail spaces, and formal talks with world renowned designers and key industry figures – past speakers have included Alexandra Shulman, David Gandy and Katharine Hamnett.
It all takes place within the official show space at The Store X across 16 and 17 February, and is a must for anyone who wants to know what’s coming next from the best local and international designers in SS19.
Those who purchase an ‘Insider’ ticket will get access to one of four exclusive sessions.
London-based design duo Fyodor Golan will be headlining the Sunday session, showing off their latest looks. Fyodor Golan are known for their sartorial approach to fashion, combining luxury sportswear with elevated aesthetics and conceptual intricacy. The pair’s creations are vibrant, colourful and visually energising – a testament to the brand’s spirited essence.
Osman, the designer known for his expertly tailored and architectural garments, will also be showing at the festival this year. Two other designers are yet to be announced, so, keep a lookout online for updating info.
Before designers and models take to the catwalk, guests will be greeted with free Champagne on arrival, and receive a limited-edition tote bag designed by the British Emerging Talent Womenswear Winner 2018 and winner of the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design 2018, Richard Quinn.
Those who splash out on ‘Front Row’ tickets will get the best seats in the house as well as a tote bag full of extra goodies, complimentary food and drink, and access to the private VIP room.
Each guest will have an opportunity to explore specially-curated Shopping Galleries, which will host a selection of top British and international brands offering collections of women’s ready-to-wear garments, accessories and jewellery.
This season’s confirmed retailers include Georgia Hardinge, Kate Rose, Jamie Wei Huang, Julia Mays, and Les Néréides.
Many items won’t yet be in stores – it’s the best way to get ahead of the curve for SS19.
