Libraries part of the City of London Corporation will be opening their doors this winter offering a warm and friendly place to stay to escape the worst of the cold.
The Barbican Library, Artizan Street Library & Community Centre, and Shoe Lane Library have planned a series of events and activities for adults and children.
From children’s toy and rhyme time to adult tea and coffee sessions with plans for game clubs and mindful colouring.
They will also be offering cost of living advice with ways to reduce energy bills, as well as free computer workshops. Residents will be able to benefit from free Wi-Fi to keep them connected this winter.
Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Community and Children’s Services Committee, Ruby Sayed, said: “This is an important service during the colder months when many residents are already under pressure due to high food prices and energy costs.”
