Word-class jockeys go head to head on the track throughout the day before Jessie J, Tinie Tempah & Charlesy and pop duo Go West hit up the live music stage at night – all for just £37 per person!

Now in its 19th year, the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup is one of Ascot’s most popular fixtures. It offers up a perfect blend of unforgettable entertainment while the sun is up, progressing into a memorable summer’s evening at one of the world’s most iconic racecourses.

Ascot is alive with excitement from the moment the gates open. Racegoers are treated to unmissable action on the track, as elite jockeys from across the world compete not only for individual glory but also for racing’s premier international jockey’s competition.

Four teams battle it out across a thrilling six-race showdown with only one taking the top prize home. The four teams come in the form of Great Britain and Ireland, Europe, the Rest of The World, and The Girls – last year’s winners. Each comprise three renowned riders, all of whom are guaranteed five rides for their respective team across a highly competitive and entertaining afternoon. Points are awarded to the first five horses to finish in each race, and the team to have amassed the most points after the sixth race is awarded the coveted Shergar Cup, with the contest’s leading jockey lifting the Silver Saddle trophy.

The fun most definitely doesn’t stop there. For many visitors the off-track entertainment is every bit as appealing as the racing itself. Racegoers can test their nerve on adrenaline-filled free fairground rides throughout the afternoon before experiencing the thrill of a post-racing, full, live headline concert from Jessie J followed by a Tinie Tempah & Charlesy DJ set and a performance from ’80s duo Go West.

The star-studded line-up of musicians is reason enough to head down to the Ascot Racecourse this August.
