Here’s some fabulous date spot ideas to help you out this month.

Emilia’s Crafted Pasta

news london

Are you a pasta lover? If so, then you need to check out Emilia’s Crafted Pasta spot in the City. With a few dotted around the City, our favourite is the Aldgate branch. If you’re heading here for date night – the casual vibes of this restaurant are enough to have you and your date feeling at ease. To start, the creamy burrata with toasted sourdough bread is a dream. The food here is spot on – we recommend the homemade basil pesto with grated parmesan, simply superb. Portion sizes are generous at Emilia’s but try and save some space for dessert – you won’t be disappointed.

Okay, so you’re looking for a spot that delivers on good food and sophisticated settings? Well, Thai Square might just be the perfect choice. With a few dotted around the City, our Thai Square of choice is the Mansion House branch. Whether you’re opting for the tasting menu with Thai wine or picking a few bits of the menu, there really is something for everyone. The tasting menu is great value for money, priced at £55 per person and is available at the Thai Square Trafalgar Square branch. This is a wonderful restaurant for date night – not only does the venue impress with ease but the food is wonderful too.

Shiro Sushi

Shiro Sushi, located in Broadgate Circle is a must-try for all Sushi lovers. This restaurant delivers on so many things – fantastic sushi, City vibes, and excellent service. On arrival you will be greeted by the wonderful staff at Shiro Sushi.

With so much to choose from on the menu, it’s easy to feel a little overwhelmed. The cocktails menu is great, the Espresso Martini is a lovely way to start the evening. However, if you’re looking for something a little stronger, then the Old Fashioned is made extremely well.

The chef’s daily selection, The Omakase deluxe edomae sushi platter, priced at £38 is great. The soft shell crab tempura is also fantastic and worth adding to your list. However, the real star of the show for the team at City Matters is the black cod – absolutely delicious. The staff at Shiro Sushi are friendly, welcoming and attentive. This restaurant not only delivers on amazing sushi in the heart of the City but the vibes here are superb too. Full marks from the team at City Matters.
