Coronavirus puts Guildhall School of Music & Drama on lockdown

Guildhall School of Music & Drama has been put on lockdown after a teacher was diagnosed with the coronavirus.

The school will be shut for up to two weeks, and the member of staff has been placed in isolation for specialist treatment at the Royal Free hospital in north London.

A statement from the school said: “Guildhall School can confirm that a member of its teaching staff has tested positive for COVID19.

“The school has been given Public Health England advice.

“The staff and principal are working closely with students to ensure that they receive urgent appropriate advice.”
