International recruitment firm Concilium Search rubbed shoulders with former Chelsea FC captain and England international Katie Chapman in an event aimed at inspiring ambition and confidence in young women.
The London-based recruiter, which specialises in the permanent and contract recruitment of life sciences, industrials, IT and management consulting professionals, sponsored the Inspiring Females Summit at Chelsea Football Club.
More than 30 guests took part including ex-midfielder Chapman, a two-time winner of the FA International Player of the Year in 2002 and 2010 who helped England finish third at the 2015 World Cup, world championship rower Annamarie Phelps CBE, and the first female company sergeant major at Sandhurst, Kelly Caswell-Treen.
Partner and Chief of Staff at Concilium Search, Emilia Gladhaug, who spoke at the event: “I attended a GDST school and so does the daughter of our CEO Maduka Okeke so it seemed a natural fit for us.
“At Concilium Search, we have been championing female empowerment, especially in business, for the last two years and have actively grown our female headcount by 260% since I joined in 2017, with a further five women joining us this summer.
“I talked about women in business, how business wasn’t an industry I was encouraged to go into but how exciting and full opportunities it is for young women and how much we need female leadership in the corporate world.”
