City of London Police are trying to return 13 stolen mobile phones to their owners.

The force is appealing to anyone who had their phone snatched on the morning of Tuesday 26 March in Westminster or Central London to get in touch with them. Officers believe the thefts happened on the 26 March before 11.15am.

In total, 24 phones were recovered during an arrest of a man at Bank junction on the same day.

Sonny Stringer, 28, from Islington has been charged with nine thefts, one robbery, dangerous driving and having no insurance. He was remanded in custody and will appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 22 April 2024.

Two suspects were seen on camera, riding Siron electric motorcycles and were identified as phone snatchers. Control operators kept the suspects on camera and resources were brought together from various police units to make the arrest. Further investigations on the other suspect are on-going.
