The City Corporation’s Property Services Team has contacted all residents from across its social housing homes, to provide advice on damp and mould issues and to ask residents to report to them if they spot any signs.

Leaflets have also been sent to each home, containing steps to take to try and prevent damp and mould from occurring.

Officers from the Property Services Team will respond to reports by visiting homes to identify the causes and offer guidance on what to do next. If a repair is required, remedial works will be completed within seven working days of an order being placed.

Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Community and Children’s Services Committee, Ruby Sayed, said: “We take every report of damp and mould very seriously and we want our residents to know that we are here to support them. If you spot signs in your home, please report it to us immediately and we will fix the problem.”
