Take your workout to a whole new level this summer as the City’s swankiest venues clear their rooftops for you to break a sweat while taking in a view.
Change is getting a jump on Wimbledon with a series of rooftop workouts in the week leading up to the tournament. From 25 to 30 June, trainers from WIT, Frame, Yogangster, Pure Sports Med and Gymbox will put you through your paces and all it will cost you is a fiver donation towards charity Barnardos. Book at onenewchange.com.
Such a great morning with the guys from @triyogauk we have space available for tomorrow and next Thursday and Friday if you want to be part of the best rooftop yoga in the city Happy #InternationalYogaDay and summer solstice! We started today right with early morning yoga @aviaryldn with @yogijames.co.uk and watching the sunrise @thelondoneye (pics coming soon from that, stay tuned). . We’re also marking the occasion by donating £1 for every #weareyoga post shared today to @ourmala – an amazing charity that teaches yoga to refugees. To show your support, post your yoga story on social media along with a photo of you doing your favourite pose, using the #weareyoga hashtag and tagging @triyogauk. . Have a great day!
Start your morning right on the 10th floor of the Montcalm Hotel in Finsbury Square where rooftop restaurant Aviary will be teaming up with boutique fitness studios for a series of workouts en high. On select Thursdays and Fridays you can strike a pose with Triyoga, get your sweat on with BXR, or elongate your muscles with En Avant Ballet. Each class is £25 (including a goodie bag) and bookings are via aviarylondon.com.
Take your downward dog up several flights of stairs to the rooftop of Madison restaurant St Paul’s where yogi Sophie Dear is leading a vinyasa flow sequence from 7am each Wednesday until 22 August. Unsurprisingly, most people find the views of the City skyline preferable to a sweaty studio so classes book out fast. Reserve your mat for £13 at sophiesfitness.co.uk.
