Throughout January, Berber & Q Shawarma Bar has been holding its much-loved guest chef collaboration series in celebration of its signature stuffed pita.
So far, this collaboration has seen Harneet Baweja of homestyle Indian kitchen Gunpowder, Eran Tibi of Tel Aviv-inspired Bala Baya, and the dessert favourites Happy Endings go head-to-head in a battle for pita superiority. Each has shown off their pita reimagination. But they aren’t done yet.
The last collab is coming up on Monday 27 January from Owen Barratt and Mark Ogus. Their guest pita draws on their Monty’s Deli expertise, filled with chopped liver, hot pastrami, coleslaw and fermented hot sauce. Because traditional isn’t always best!
And the grand finale is on Sunday 2 February at the one-off Pita Party. All of the chefs will come together to showcase their dish in the bid to win over all the diners. Each ticket-holder will get to try a mini pita from all four guest chefs, and a special surprise pita from Shawarma Bar’s head chef Jack Harrison.
Tickets to the Pita Party on 2 February can be purchased here.
