Xi Home Dumplings Bay

The dumpling hotspot on Blossom Street, Spitalfields, is releasing a special selection of steamed buns to celebrate Chinese New Year on Wednesday 29th January. Available in store or to purchase online throughout January, the cute set of four – decorated as intricate dragon faces – include custard egg yolk, sweet ube and taro, truffle chocolate and finally, custard matcha. Each bun is individually hand-crafted from scratch and meticulously decorated by XI Home’s expert chefs, creating a truly special offering. The buns are priced at £12 each or £46 for the full set and are available to purchase online and send to a loved one or to enjoy in the restaurant for the perfect Chinese New Year celebration. Dishes range from £6.50 to £18, so make sure to order lots for the table and try as many as you can, finishing off with the star of the show- XI Home’s special Chinese New Year’s sweet steamed buns.

Light Bar

Light Bar in Shoreditch has unveiled an exciting new weekday lunch menu, perfect for those looking for a delicious and affordable midday meal. Available Monday to Friday from 12–3 PM for just £12 per person, the menu offers a range of flavourful dishes designed to cater to all tastes, including new tasty vegan options for Veganuary. Highlights include. the new vegan dishes include Roasted Carrots and Chickpeas with harissa hummus, black olive crumb, and radish for a vibrant and satisfying bite.

Burns Night In The City

The Sun Tavern

On 25th January 2024, East London cocktail bar The Sun Tavern, will be raising a glass to Scotland in a special collaboration with ABERFELDY Single Malt, with an exclusive cocktail menu available for one day only. Serving up free Haggis canapés from Broadway Market stalwarts, Deeney’s, Londoners are invited to pay their dues to the great Scottish poet Robert Burns who waxed lyrical on haggis, mice and red, red roses. At 5pm The Sun Tavern will be hosting a free ABERFELDY whisky tasting paired with cheeses supplied by Hackney Road’s fine food specialists Provisions Wine & Cheese. With an ‘Address To The Haggis’ and renditions of Burns’ best work throughout the evening, the night will be rounded up in style with Scottish fashion icon Pam Hogg, on the decks with a Scottish heavy DJ set until 2am.

Origin City

The evening kicks off at 7pm, in a supper club style service, with guests treated to a bespoke whisky cocktail on arrival, followed by a traditional four course menu, designed to celebrate the evening with tradition – there will even be an address to the Haggis! Priced at £70 per person, diners will be in for a real treat, highlights include, a selection of fresh and crispy Loch Fyne oysters, Haggis, neeps and tatties and all of the meat served in the restaurant comes from the owner’s 600 acre organic farm in Argyll, Scotland.
Their wine list features many award-winning wines from their organic family vineyard, Château De La Cômbe, in Provence, as well as delicious cocktails and a wide range of Scotch whiskies available.
