Lina Stores, is the latest addition to Broadgate Circle’s dining scene and more importantly, a foodie haven for lovers of Italian cuisine.

The food here is an absolute dream. Highlights from the menu, include, the fried ricotta and herb gnudi with Calabrian chilli marmelleta. We tried the Lina Stores’ staple; the 30-egg yolk taglioni with black truffle. For something a little sweet, we highly recommend dabbling in their tiramisu, you won’t be disappointed.

The restaurant has been designed with Lina Stores’ traditional pastel green colour palette in mind and a terrace overlooking the bustle of Broadgate Circle.

In terms of date vibes, if you’re coming here mid-week for a lunch booking, undoubtedly it’ll be pretty busy. Nevertheless, this is a great date spot, with slick interiors, speedy service and a wonderful menu providing a taste of Italy in the heart of the City.

To kick off the lunch, we highly sipping on a cocktail or two, not only are they perfect for those social media shots but they also taste delightful. Highlights from the menu include the grilled meats platter, which is perfect for sharing. However, the real star of the show for the team at City Matters was the desserts on offer and in particular the Piña Rostizada Roasted.

Dining at Amazónico is a real treat, stunning interiors, beautifully presented dishes, delicious cocktails and the hospitality is top-class. One to visit next time you’re planning a weekend lunch date.

For mains, whether you’re opting for a hearty pizza or pasta of choice, you’re in for a real treat. On this occasion, the team at City Matters tried the classic Spaghetti Carbonara, a creamy sauce with pancetta, crispy prosciutto and topped with the finest Italian cheese. Pizza Pilgrims

If you’re in the mood for some seriously good pizza, then it’s without a doubt that you need to check out Pizza Pilgrims. If you’re escaping the City, then we highly recommend visiting the Canary Wharf branch.

For drinks, the Classic Negroni is a wonderful choice but if you’re more of an Aperol enthusiast, then be sure to opt for the Aperol Spritz.. For starters, the smoked mozzarella bites, rolled in a light breadcrumb & fried to cheese-pull perfection, are absolutely divine. If you’re after a slice of Margherita heaven then it’s almost mandatory that you try the margherita extra-extra. However, the star of the show for the team at City Matters is the Ferrero Rocher Espresso Martini. This classic espresso martini with hazelnut liqueur and served with a Ferrero Rocher is perfect for those social media shots. The service at this spot is also fantastic, and we highly recommend adding this place to your list of joints to visit for an exceedingly good slice or two of pizza. A great spot to visit for date night.
