About Us

Welcome to City Matters – the hyperlocal newspaper and website proudly serving the City of London

Established in September 2016, City Matters is built around four strategic pillars: Quality Content, Facilitating Change, Innovation, and Impeccable Service.

Featuring everything from breaking news and current affairs to entertainment ‘must sees’, shopping ‘must haves’ and tips and tricks for a peaceful mind, body and soul, City Matters’ pages are packed with something for each of the thousands who call the City home, as well as the hundreds of thousands who commute to the heart of the Capital each and every day.

But our work doesn’t end when the deadline drops. As a registered Social Enterprise, City Matters also strives to provide employment opportunities to clients of our partner charity the Camden Society, Facilitating Change we want to see in the world.

We warmly welcome new partners – both commercial and editorial – who share this mission, and look forward to establishing collaborations that can help institutions across the City to achieve their social obligations.
